Rock Social Enterprise Projects
The Rock Foundation UK Ltd have developed a variety of social enterprise projects and have retail sites, which provide training and volunteering opportunities to our clients, as well as being a means of revenue for our charitable work.
Here are some examples of Rock Foundation’s current social enterprise projects:
Tea Rooms, Rock Caistor
Our Tea Rooms at our Rock Caistor site are a thriving community space enjoyed by many visitors from the local community and beyond. Find out more about our Caistor site >
Gift Shop, Rock Caistor
Our Gift Shop at Rock Caistor proves to be popular with plenty of keen shoppers looking for those special gift ideas. We design and make many of our gifts in-house with help from staff, volunteers and our student workshops.
Emporium Sweet Shop
Within our Gift Shop at the Rock Caistor site, we have a traditional Emporium Sweet Shop which has plenty of choice for your favourite retro sweets. Who can resist a peep in one of these jars?
Online Etsy Gift Shop
We design and manufacture our own customised range of Laser Engraved Gifts plus much more. We currently have over 130 products and are continually designing new ranges. Support us by visiting our online Etsy Gift Shop >
Our Caistor site also has a community allotment growing organic vegetables, where many devoted volunteers along with students help to manage, maintain and sell the harvest.
Tree & Plant Sales
We have a fully committed team of volunteers who bring many gardening skills, including helping students to grow and maintain plants and cuttings in our nursery. Proceeds from the sale of these go back into supporting the project.
Student Craft Workshops
We encourage staff, volunteers and students to explore new ideas for making gift items which can be used for fundraising. This helps everybody involved, but especially the students to develop new skills and feel a sense of achievement.
Homemade Jams & Chutneys
We use produce from our community allotment to make a variety of Jams and Chutneys to sell in our different sites. These are made in workshops by our staff, volunteers and students. They are very tasty and are well presented.
Polytunnel at Heneage Rd
Our Polytunnel is based at our main office on Heneage Road and is maintained by staff, volunteers and students. Our aim is to provide vegetables to help the charity become more self-sufficient and help save money in these tough times.
Help us by purchasing goods and services from us. We operate two charity shops, one down Freeman Street and the other based at our main Grimsby site were we sell our own hand made garden furniture and other items. Read more >
